mph. As speed increases, energy used. As speed decreases, energy
generated. Watch for 20-25 seconds and you'll begin to see relationships.
Modes (Top left) -- Boost, Stand By, Generate
Energy (Left middle bar) -- electrons used
during acceleration or replaced during braking
Amps (Lower left bar) -- faster acceleration
requires more amps
MPH (center top box) -- Key to other readouts
RPM (Center middle box) -- engine speed
MPG (Center bottom box) -- instant miles per
gallon. Keep in mind data from a Ford E450 shuttle bus. MPG
usually low. VTM increases mpg 20-30% in start/stop applications.
Fuel used per hour (Right bar)
Motor shifting (Center bottom) -- Note how electric motor
separates/engages during acceleration/braking. Expanded version of
