More about the motor display.  Key to changes is top box in center -- mph.  As speed increases, energy used.  As speed decreases, energy generated.  Watch for 20-25 seconds and you'll begin to see relationships.

  1. Modes (Top left) -- Boost, Stand By, Generate
  2. Energy (Left middle bar) -- electrons used during acceleration or replaced during braking
  3. Amps (Lower left bar) -- faster acceleration requires more amps
  4. MPH (center top box) -- Key to other readouts
  5. RPM (Center middle box) -- engine speed
  6. MPG (Center bottom box) -- instant miles per gallon.  Keep in mind data from a Ford E450 shuttle bus.  MPG usually low.  VTM increases mpg 20-30% in start/stop applications.
  7. Fuel used per hour (Right bar)
  8. Motor shifting (Center bottom) -- Note how electric motor separates/engages during acceleration/braking.  Expanded version of shifting below.
