How VTM system works: the short version.  More detail, Display Data

1. During acceleration, electric motor does most of work, using electrons instead of diesel fuel.  Result? Higher mpg, lower tailpipe emissions.
2. At higher speeds, diesel more efficient and powers vehicle.  Electric motor rests.
3. When braking, electric motor becomes generator, replacing electrons for next acceleration cycle.  Saves brake wear.
